Nanaimo North Town Centre

Nanaimo North Town Centre (formerly Rutherford Mall) is an existing hybrid enclosed mall in Nanaimo, BC, acquired by Shape in 2006. Shape brought it through an extensive redevelopment and lease-up program, and since its acquisition, has added high profile tenants such as London Drugs, Best Buy, Target Apparel, Urban Planet and most currently, Fairway Markets, one of Vancouver Island’s largest grocery store operators.

The existing anchor tenants combined with the new tenant additions, make Nanaimo North an attractive draw for shoppers in the entire region. The next phase will involve the renovation and merchandising of the enclosed mall including plans for a food court and appealing interior space.
